The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce to Host 17th Annual Holiday Gala “This is Miami – Welcome to the Magic City”
The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will host its 17th Annual Holiday Gala “This is Miami – Welcome to the Magic City” on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the JW Marriott Turnberry Isle Resort, 19999 West Country Club Drive, Aventura, Florida 33180. As one of South Florida’s largest and most prestigious events of the year, the Annual Holiday Gala will celebrate and honor outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations, while also looking forward to the year ahead.
This year’s theme is “This is Miami – Welcome to the Magic City,” encouraging and indicating the love of our city.
“2022 has been an amazing year of many milestones for the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce, and we are excited to celebrate with all who contributed to our success. We look forward to yet another year for an incredibly successful Gala where we’ll have an amazing time celebrating those who have paved the way by putting the magic in the “Magic City,” said G. Eric Knowles, President and CEO of Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce.
The 17th Annual Holiday Gala Award Recipients include:
- Citizen of the Year Award: De Ann Connolly Graham (Posthumously)
- H.T. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award: Commissioner Dennis Moss (Ret.)
- David Fincher Young Innovator Award: Brandon Okpalobi, Founder Dibia Dream
- Distinguished Service Award: Liliam M. Lopez, President & CEO, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
- Jason Jenkins UnSung Hero Award: Anthony Durden, President & CEO, S.H.E.A.R. Inc. (Shearing Hope Empowerment and Reaction)
“The Annual Holiday Gala Awards are based on those who have contributed to and who have demonstrated exemplary excellence and leadership in their professions and fields. This year’s Award Recipients exemplify the role businesses play every day in making South Florida and the world a better place, and we are proud to shine a spotlight on their positive contributions to society,” continued Knowles.
