Held at the dazzling Jungle Island in Miami on Saturday, December 2, 2023, this sold-out spectacular wasn’t just an event—it was an extravaganza of “Celebrating Black Excellence.” Recognized as one of South Florida’s premier events, the Annual Holiday Gala highlighted the chamber’s commitment to honoring exceptional individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Gearing Up for Next Year’s 50th Anniversary

In preparation for the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce’s 50th anniversary next year, the Annual Holiday Gala was a precedent for what’s to come. For five decades, the Chamber has been a dynamic force, passionately dedicated to fostering economic growth, diversity, and prosperity within the vibrant Miami-Dade business community. As it approaches this historic milestone, the Chamber reflected on a rich history of empowering businesses, championing diversity, and driving economic success throughout the night. 

With a legacy rooted in fostering collaboration and innovation, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce stands poised to embark on the next chapter of its journey, continuing to shape and elevate the business landscape in the heart of Miami. “Stay tuned for a year of festivities, reflection, and a renewed commitment to the flourishing future of Miami-Dade’s business community as we prepare for our 50th anniversary,” said G. Honorary Gala Chairwoman Lights up the Night

Mayor Daniella Levine Cava served as the Honorary Gala Chairwoman, adding distinction to this year’s festivities.

Knowles continued to set the tone for the evening: “Through our 18th Annual Holiday Gala, we aimed to spotlight remarkable achievements and contributions of Black individuals, businesses, and organizations.   • H.T. Smith Lifetime Achievement Award: Dr. Nelson L. Adams, Nelson Adams & Associates
  • Citizen of the Year Award: Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert III, Miami-Dade County Commissioners
  • Distinguished Service Award: Wendy Kallergis, Greater Miami & Beaches Hotel Association
  • David Fincher Young Innovator Award: Kazmaleje Co-Founders
  • Jason Jenkins Unsung Hero Award: Leroy Jones, NANA
