OBAMA HOSTS 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AT MARTHA’S VINEYARD

OBAMA HOSTS 60TH BIRTHDAY PARTY AT MARTHA’S VINEYARD

Barack Obama danced the night away at his 60th birthday celebration. He and Michelle Obama were all smiles in photos captured at the former president’s turn-up session last Saturday night.

The party was held in the backyard of the couple’s Martha’s Vineyard mansion that sits on 20-acres of land.

Due to flight restrictions, secret services released a statement that stated no drones were allowed to fly over the area on Saturday. Although there isn’t any up close and personal footage of the party, massive tents could be seen from afar, along with a sprung dancefloor and long tables for dining. Macramé rocking chairs and outdoor canvas chairs were also spotted for guests to lounge.

Let’s get into that ‘scaled back’ guest list. Grammy Award-winning artist H.E.R. was among the first high-profile guests to attend the event. She shared a shot standing between the former president and first lady.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE COOLEST @barackobama what an amazing night!!!!!!!,” she captioned.

In addition, musician Trap Beckham posted a photo of himself on Instagram and wrote, “One time 4 the birthday prez.” Other notable celebrities included couples John Legend and Chrissy Teigen and Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade.

The question that remains is, what were the details of the festivities? Were there special performances, board games? Who knows. A video from Erykah Badu’s Instagram Story showed the singer on the dance floor with Barack Obama dancing in the background, but was later deleted along with H.E.R.’s photo.

After Obama decided to scale back his celebrating due to the delta variant, David Letterman, actor Larry David, and Conan O’Brien were reportedly cut from the guest list. Oprah Winfrey and director Ava DuVernay apparently bailed out, and the White House said President Joe Biden would not attend.
