HOTTEST MUSIC NOT TO MISS DURING BLACK MUSIC MONTH

We come together for Black Music Month to celebrate the history of Black artistry. We’re keeping Black Music Month rolling with Anthony Hamilton and gospel singer Jor’Dan Armstrong.

Anthony Hamilton released his new track “You Made A Fool Of Me,” co-produced by Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal. Hamilton showcased his smooth vocal blend of soul music, singing “Girl, you know I loved you/You could never do no wrong/And you know I adored you/But you chose to break my heart.”

“The story is about trust being broken, a heart being deceived, the final straw of being made to feel foolish, and having enough of it,” explained Hamilton. Nevertheless, he applauded Dupri for keeping “the integrity of true R&B music” intact. “He never tries to make me anything other than me. I’m Southern, churchy, and like to sing my ass off.”

Anthony Hamilton and Jermaine Dupri have a collaborative album in the works set to release this August. It will be a full-circle moment for the two, given that Dupri signed Hamilton to his So So Def label in 2003.
In addition, Baton Rouge native Jor’Dan Armstrong recently released his single “My God.” The gospel singer is an inspirational urban artist who is known for his up-tempo Hip-Hop tracks. Armstrong is an outstanding vocalist and percussionist who has been performing since the age of five.

“I came up with a song that brags on how good God is to me, that glorifies God,” He said about the track. “It came from Social Media. Social Media is about showing off what you have, what you look like…I do it too. So I came up with a song that brags on…God.”

“My God” and “You Made A Fool Of Me” are now available on all streaming platforms.
