MEGHAN MARKLE & PRINCE HARRY OPENED UP ABOUT THEIR ROYAL FAMILY EXPERIENCE IN A SIT-DOWN OPRAH WINFREY

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry opened up about their royal family experience in a sit-down with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday. The interview aired just one day after the royal couple announced they are expecting their second child.
Markle shocked the world when she unleashed the royal family’s secrets. She claims the palace is racist, toxic and how her mental health was severely neglected. The couple shared horrible stories about how their own family did not support them.
“It’s hard for people to distinguish the two because it’s a family business, there’s the family, and then there are the people that are running the institution, those are two separate things and it’s important to be able to compartmentalize that because the Queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me,” Meghan told Oprah.
They accused a Royal Family member of racism, suggesting the relative asked ‘how dark’ their baby would be; said they had been driven out of Britain, in part, by racism.
“They didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, not knowing what the gender would be, which would be different from protocol, and (said) that he wasn’t going to receive security,” Meghan said. “In those months when I was pregnant… we have in tandem the conversation of, you won’t be given security, not gonna be given a title and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.”
Markle continued, “the most important title I will ever have is Mom but the idea of our son not being safe and also the idea of the first member of colour in this family not being titled in the same way that other grandchildren would be was….”

Harry revealed the tension between him and his father, saying his family had cut him off financially while suggesting the Queen had been badly advised.
“I feel really let down because he’s been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like, [and] Archie’s his grandson,” Prince Harry reveals. “But at the same time – I will always love him – but there’s a lot of hurt that’s happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship.
Nonetheless, there’s something Meghan Markle made very clear in the interview stating, “There’s the family, and then there’s the people that are running the institution, those are two separate things and it’s important to be able to compartmentalize that because the Queen, for example, has always been wonderful to me.”
Markle gave us alll who watch a sound piece of wisdon stating, “know there’s another side, to know that life is worth living.”
