MIAMI-DADE COUNTY BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD INVITES YOU TO ITS ANNUAL EXHIBIT UNVEILING

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Black Affairs Advisory Board (BAAB), under the Office of Community Advocacy will unveil this year’s Black History Month Exhibit on Monday, Feb. 8 at 11:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st Street, Miami FL 33128.

This year’s national theme established by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH), recognizes the Black Family and its African continent origin extending across the globe: The Black Family: Representation, Identity and Diversity. To celebrate the achievements of local African Americans, our Black County Commissioners and their families will be recognized in this year’s exhibit.

Fifty-seven years after the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, African Americans have made great strides and contributions to the American society. We invite you to view the 2021 detailed calendar of events, and join us celebrating Black History Month, visit www.miamidade.gov/advocacy/black-affairs-home.asp.
