NBA PLAYERS REACT TO NATE ROBINSON’S FIGHT AGAINST JAKE PAUL

YouTube personality Jake Paul knocked out former NBA players Nate Robinson on Saturday. Paul, who has been training for this competition for quite some time, knocked down Robinson twice before the final blow. Midway through the second round, Paul ended the fight with an epic right-hand snag that took out the former slam dunk champ. Robinson had was knocked down two times prior, and some even argue that the referee should’ve stopped it after the first knockout.
Boxing is something Paul says he wants to make a career out of. Still, that didn’t stop current and former NBA players from cracking jokes. Many players of which watched to support Nate Robinson. Following the viral moment came tweets from Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid, and more!
Los Angeles Lakers NBA Champion Markieff Morris wrote, “Boxing ain’t that sport to play with!!”
Chicago Bulls power forward Thad Young makes fun, “Damn Nate … “Down goes Frazier!”
Former NBA Player Evan Turner tweets, “I wanna fight jake Paul.”
Many players still showed their love and support for Robinson after the loss.
A fan says, “Nate still a legend in Seattle. Y’all over here doing way too much over this fight. He wasn’t ready clearly! BUT that negro might the best athlete the city has ever had.”
Former NBA Six Man of the Year Jamal Crawford follows up, “Easy to laugh when most wouldn’t dare get in the ring..He is the best athlete the city has had.. And it’s not close. Still a king.”
Denver Nuggets NBA All-Star Forward Paul Millsap wrote, “Man respect to Nate for putting himself out there and trying.”
Unfortunately for Robinson, the fight did not go his way. The loss was a tough pill to swallow for Robinson. The NBA star talked a good game leading up to the showdown against Paul. Overall, Paul had three knockdowns in the fight, the last of which was by far the worst when Robinson woke up on the floor after he blacked out. Hopefully, this will blow over for him as many players commended his courage to step into the ring.
