The Miami-Dade County Office of the Supervisor of Elections announces that polls are now open for the 2026 Primary Election taking place today
The Miami-Dade County Office of the Supervisor of Elections reminds voters that today, Tuesday, August 18, 2026, is Primary Election Day, and polls are open and will remain open until 7 p.m. Eligible Miami-Dade County voters are encouraged to make their voices heard by casting their ballot.
Voters can find important election information, including their assigned precinct, by visiting https://www.votemiamidade.gov/elections/voters/information.page, and are encouraged to review their information and make a plan before heading to the polls.
Voters who requested a Vote-by-Mail ballot and have not yet returned it may still do so by dropping it off at the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Headquarters or the SOE Branch Office at the Stephen P. Clark Center no later than 7:00 p.m. today. Vote-by-Mail ballots cannot be returned at polling places on Election Day.
Any voter who is in line at their assigned polling location by 7:00 p.m. will be allowed to remain in line and vote.
“Election Day is an important opportunity for every eligible voter to make their voice count,” said Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Alina Garcia. “Whether voting in person or returning a Vote-by-Mail ballot, I encourage Miami-Dade voters to participate, be prepared, and take part in this important democratic process.”
