North Miami CRA Launches “See It In Nomi” Grant Program
North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA) has announced the launch of the “See It In Nomi” Entertainment Grant Program championed by Vice Chair Kassandra Timothe, a new initiative designed to support local food service and entertainment businesses by helping them upgrade their venues with equipment that enhances the customer experience.
With anticipation of FIFA, North Miami is bracing businesses for watchful eyes. Through the program, eligible businesses located within the NMCRA boundaries may receive up to $2,500 in grant funding to purchase equipment that allows them to broadcast sports, concerts, and entertainment programming within their establishments. The goal is to help businesses attract more patrons, increase engagement, and contribute to the vibrant energy of North Miami’s commercial corridors.
Grant funds may be used to purchase large screen televisions (65 inches or larger), projectors, sound equipment, and marketing or promotional materials that support entertainment programming at the business.
“This program is about creating exciting spaces in North Miami where residents and visitors can gather, enjoy great food, and experience entertainment together,” said NMCRA Board Vice-Chair Kassandra Timothe. “By helping our local businesses enhance their venues, we are also strengthening the economic vitality of the entire community.”
To qualify, applicants must operate a for-profit food service or entertainment business with indoor seating located within the NMCRA geographic boundaries and have all required city, county, and state licenses in good standing. Businesses must also be active with the State of Florida and meet additional program requirements outlined in the application guidelines.
Grants will be awarded on a first-qualified, first-served basis, and businesses must submit a completed application along with required documentation to be considered. The NMCRA continues to invest in programs that support small businesses, strengthen local corridors, and encourage economic growth throughout North Miami.
