North Miami CRA Launches Major Residential Rehabilitation Initiative to Transform Neighborhoods
The North Miami Community Redevelopment Agency (NMCRA) has officially launched the Residential Rehabilitation Program designed to help homeowners revitalize their properties and enhance neighborhood appeal. Applications opened December 1, 2025, marking the start of NMCRA’s initiatives for housing improvements for 2026.
The program provides financial support to eligible homeowners seeking to upgrade, beautify, or restore their properties. Through a series of sub-grants, NMCRA aims to strengthen and promote long-term neighborhood stability.
Program Offerings
Homeowners may qualify for one or more of the following sub-grants:
● Paint Up Program – Up to $5,000 for single-family homes using a qualified paint contractor. Multi-dwelling properties with up to four units may receive up to $7,500. A 60/40 match is required.
● Beautification Program for Owner-Occupied Single-Family Homes – Grants up to $30,000 with no match requirement for eligible owner-occupied residences.
● Beautification Program for Rental Homes – Up to $30,000 with a 70/30 match for eligible single-family rental properties.
● Multi-Unit Improvements – Up to four units may receive up to $30,000 with a 60/40 match requirement. Grants are eligible for 100 percent forgiveness after successful completion of a five-year maintenance period.
How to Apply
Residents are encouraged to apply early, as funding is limited. If applications exceed available funds, a lottery will be conducted.
