Spirits were Electrified at 18th Annual Fourth of July Celebration in Coconut Grove
Not even the threat of summer rain could dim the sparkle of the 18th Annual Fourth of July Celebration at Peacock Park, where thousands gathered to mark Independence Day with music, light, and a strong sense of community.
“Events like this are so important for our community,” said City of Miami Commissioner
Damien Pardo. “This gives everybody the opportunity to come out, kids family, get to see each other, get to meet new friends, and really come together in a way that we don’t get enough time to do.”
The night featured electrifying live performances by local favorites Almost There and Caribbean Farm Music, who kept the crowd energized with a mix of classic hits and island-inspired beats. As night fell, a synchronized wrist light show transformed the park into a sea of rhythm and color, leading into a stunning fireworks finale that lit up the Miami skyline.
Coconut Grove BID Executive Director Mark Burns expressed the tremendous community support for the local businesses featured and the activities planned all with the community in mind to receive. “Enjoy the free entertainment, enjoy the free excitement, and especially the free fireworks. Special thanks to Hip Rock Star and all the volunteers that came out and helped us out today.”
The event, produced and curated by Hip Rock Star Advertising on behalf of the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District, was hailed as a spectacular success.
“Despite the weather forecast, the community showed up — and showed out,” said Jessica Garrett Modkins, president of Hip Rock Star. “This wasn’t just a celebration. It was a reminder of the strength, pride, and spirit that makes Coconut Grove so special.”
Attendees expressed their appreciation for the family-friendly atmosphere and shared a collective sense of gratitude for an evening filled with love, laughter, and unity.
“This was more than a party — it was a powerful reminder of what community looks like,” Modkins added.
The Coconut Grove BID and Hip Rock Star extend their heartfelt thanks to all who participated, helping to make this year’s Independence Day one to remember.
