Miami-Dade County to break ground on the important Dadeland South Intermodal Station

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW), along with elected officials and project stakeholders, will celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for Dadeland South Intermodal Station project on Tuesday, March 26, at 10:30 a.m.

Once the project is completed, the Dadeland South Intermodal Station will provide enhanced connectivity, reliability, and safety for transit riders utilizing the Dadeland South Metrorail Station.  Additionally, the Dadeland South Intermodal Station will provide a seamless connection to the County’s first-ever Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Program.

The Station is the southernmost end of the existing Metrorail system and is the northern terminal station of the South Dade TransitWay. DTPW aims to qualify the project for LEED Silver Certification for Transit Stations.
