- No postage is necessary when mailing a vote-by-mail ballot back to the Elections Department
Voters who have not requested a vote-by-mail ballot have until 5 p.m. on March 7th. ย There are several ways to request mail ballots:
- Online via theย Elections Department website
- By emailingย votebymail@miamidade.gov
- By phone at (305) 499-8444
- Byย mailย to 2700 NW 87 Ave., Miami, FL 33172
It is important for voters to know their party affiliation because Florida is a closed primary State, meaning that only voters who are registered members of a political party may vote in their respective party primary election.
This year, only the Republican Party will hold a Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) Election on March 19, 2024. ย The Florida Democratic Party only provided one candidate nominee. ย Therefore, a PPP ballot for the Florida Democratic Party is not needed to determine party votersโ preferred party candidate nominee. ย In addition, all registered voters residing in the municipalities of South Miami and Surfside are eligible to vote on their municipal ballot content.
