BEYONCÉ RELEASES ‘BREAK MY SOUL,’ FROM UPCOMING ‘RENAISSANCE’ ALBUM
Queen Bey is back y’all! Beyoncé dropped a new single, “Break My Soul” from her upcoming album titled Renaissance. The song is available on Youtube and Tidal, the streaming platform once owned by her husband Jay-Z.
Last week, the Oscar and Emmy nominee and 28-time Grammy Award winner teased the album with cryptic messages across social media. The music star started off by deleting her profile pictures and bio from her social media accounts earlier this month. And then suddenly, the singer’s bio sections on Instagram and Twitter were updated to read: “6. BREAK MY SOUL midnight ET.” This updated included no further details.
Fans picked up on Bey’s hints instantly! Renaissance, which is set for release on July 29. The album is expected to include 16 tracks, and would serve as a follow up to Beyoncé’s 2016’s Lemonade.
In the period between the Lemonade and Renaissance, Beyoncé out-rapped her husband Jay-Z on Everything Is Love and curated The Lion King: The Gift, a soundtrack/companion album that spotlighted Afrobeats on a grand scale. She also dropped two singles, “Black Parade” — shared in celebration of Juneteenth in 2020 — and “Be Alive,” created for the film King Richard.
