IMAN SHUMPERT BECOMES FIRST NBA PLAYER TO WIN DANCING WITH THE STARS

Iman Shumpert becomes the first NBA Player to win the hit show “Dancing With the Stars.” The NBA Champion and pro partner Daniella Karagach scored 40 out of 40 for their dance routine to “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire. They didn’t stop there and scored another 40 with their marvelous freestyle dance.

Singer and social media star JoJo Siwa and pro partner Jenna Johnson finished second. Actor Cody Rigsby and pro dancer Cheryle Burke finished third. Lastly, TV personality Amanda Kloots and pro partner Alan Bersten finished fourth.

Shumpert took to Instagram and wrote, “Thank you to everyone involved in this show, I met incredible people that I won’t forget or ever stop rooting for!” wrote Shumpert. “To have done most the lifting all season and then be lifted off of my feet in triumph from this kick ass cast put a lot into perspective for me!”

Shumpert, who is married to star singer, dancer, and director Teyana Taylor, said he hopes to take his talent back to the basketball court. The former Nets player told TMZ that he is still working to make his way back to the court for a second championship ring. He won his first championship with Lebron James for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016

“Trying to see what we can get done. I love basketball. I never stopped playing,” Shumpert, 31, told TMZ while in New York, following his ballroom win. “They call me a ‘former’, ‘ex,’ but I told them the league just didn’t pay me this year. It’s not an ‘ex’ thing. Me and the league didn’t break up.”

Shumpert delivered consistently powerful performances all season. Hopefully, he’ll be able to take his consistency and hard work back on the court.
