AMERICAN MUSIC AWARD WINNERS 2021
The American Music Awards 2021 took place in Los Angeles last week. The night was led by BTS, Megan Thee Stallion, and Doja Cat. Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion took home three awards each.
Ed Sheeran won favorite male pop artist while Drake and Megan Thee Stallion won favorite male and female hip-hop artists. Meanwhile, Kanye West was crowned this year’s Favorite Gospel Artist, and super duo Silk Sonic composed Bruno Mars and Anderson.Paak went home with Favourite R&B Song with ‘Leave The Door Open.’
While many argued about the selected winners, the AMA nominees are selected based on fan interactions with music (including streaming, album sales, song sales, radio airplay, social engagement) tracked by Billboard and its data partner MRC Data, according to the organization. Fan’s determine the winners by voting online.
