Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, welcomed their daughter, Lilibet’ Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, into the world over the weekend. This is the Royal couple’s second child together.

“It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet’ Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world,” a statement said.

“Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital,” it said, adding that the new arrival weighed in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces and that “both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.”

“Lili is named after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. Her middle name, Diana, was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, The Princess of Wales,” the statement added.

Harry and Meghan have been estranged from his family since January 2020, when the couple announced they would be stepping down from royal duties.

Nonetheless, Harry’s brother, Prince William, and sister-in-law, Catherine, made a statement on Sunday, saying, “all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.” Their father, Prince Charles, said, “wishing them all well at this special time.”

Harry and Meghan revealed they were expecting a girl during their viral interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.

The newborn is the Queen’s 11th great-grandchild. She is eighth in line to the throne behind her grandfather Charles, uncle William, his three children (George, Charlotte and Louis), her father Harry, and big brother Archie.
