BLACK TWITTER CLAPS BACK AT PHYLICIA RASHAD TWITER TROLL
Twitter came together for Mother’s Day to pay homage to their favorite TV moms. Phylicia Rashad’s character Clair Huxtable in the hit show “The Cosby Show” was a fan favorite. The show was a huge 90s success, but a dark cloud has been put over the cast once many women accused Bill Cosby of sexual abuse and misconduct.
While most praised her success portraying a matriarch of a successful Black family, the outrage stirred from a deleted tweet by Lisa Talmadge where she wrote, “Claire Huxtable was an enabler of the longest and most prolific drug rape predator In US history, Bill Cosby. Everyone on set knew he was a sadistic predator. Everyone. 75 women drugged and raped by Cosby and he got away with it because of enablers.”
Cosby served more than two years of his three to ten-year sentence for allegedly drugging and molesting Andrea Constand. Rashad starred alongside Cosby from 1984 – 1992 and has since spoken out on the case.
As many pointed out, Phylicia was a coworker of Cosby’s and nothing else. It’s not valid to conclude that she knew what was going on behind the scenes especially when she has already come forward, before Cosby was sentenced and denied any type of knowledge about his accusations. Needless to say, Black Twitter was not here for any Phylicia Rashad slander.
Here’s what Black Twitter had to say:
Neither Claire Huxtable or Phylicia Rashad are responsible for Bill Cosby's actions. She was his co worker and employee not his supervisor or co conspirator in his crimes. pic.twitter.com/e7jL2XbiAg

1) Claire Huxtable is a fictional character
2) Phylicia Rashad is an actress & not responsible for Bill Cosby's actions. She worked with him professionally that's it
3) Stop trying to blame a BW for this Rapist's actions. Bill Cosby is responsible for his transgressions! pic.twitter.com/bDlYYcJil6— I'm gon mind my business 🤦🏾♀️ (@livelovelina93) May 9, 2021
You took this day to single out ONE BLACK WOMAN for this man's crimes when it was well known that many men, especially white men were well aware of what was happening and didn't do anything. But noooo, let's go after this Black woman.. So we are side-eyeing you! 👀
