SOUTH FLORIDA FASHION ACADEMY IS LAUNCHING A FIRST OF ITS KIND DUAL ENROLLMENT PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL
South Florida Fashion Academy has the distinct mission to educate, inspire and illuminate an intense desire to optimize the creative minds of students seeking a career in the Arts, Fashion and Beauty Industries. Students will receive an innovative quality education, resources, practical skills and the confidence to be a leading professional. South Florida Fashion Academy will prepare students for professional excellence in art, fashion and beauty through rigorous and adaptable academic programs, experiential learning and ingenious partnerships.
South Florida Fashion Academy will be globally celebrated as the institution where students and instructors transcend traditional margins to stimulate leading edge innovations. Students will receive instruction on how to become proficient in the arts, fashion and beauty industries with a strong focus on exceling in all necessary required academic areas mandated by the state. South Florida Fashion Academy fosters creativity and career focus while educating its students to embrace inclusiveness, sustainability and a sense of community. Programs are designed for high school students to enter their post- secondary option with advanced knowledge or the ability to infiltrate the preferred industry having entrepreneurial skills. “Our faculty and staff consist of experienced, knowledgeable, innovative and talented individuals that share one common goal; to birth the next generation of Fashion and Beauty Enthusiasts. We place significant prioritization and effort on Creatives excelling academically. SF/FA offers a multitude of electives that are informative, fun and aimed to prepare students for the ‘real world’, said South Florida Fashion Academy Founder Taj McGill. “I’m so excited and anxious for South Florida Fashion Academy High School to launch. I am a member of the Saturday classes at SF/FA for teens in the community and we had the privilege of gaining experience behind the scenes during Ft. Lauderdale Fashion Week, community projects such packing hygiene products with Beauty Initiative, on the set of music videos, various fashion shows, New York Fashion Week etc. so imagine a High School. Wow,” said South Florida Fashion Academy student Jada Johnson.
South Florida Fashion Academy is located at 1901 North Federal Highway #204 in Pompano Beach, Florida. SF/FA allows qualified students to enroll in post- secondary college and technical school courses while in High School. Credit earned through Dual Enrollment can be used towards fulfillment of a high school graduation requirement and as a college credit.
In addition to earning a High School Diploma, students may obtain a degree in Fashion Design or Fashion
Merchandising or a Diploma in Cosmetology, Barbering, Nail Technology, Skin Care. South Florida Fashion Academy has partnered with the Miami Fashion Institute at Miami Dade College and McDougle Technical Institute. South Florida Fashion Academy will provide a cutting- edge learning experience built on the highest standards of excellence; an environment that promotes creativity and experimentation; and diverse provisional learning with a variety of industry partnerships.
