TUSKEGEE AIRMAN – LEGACY OF COURAGE

TUSKEGEE AIRMAN – LEGACY OF COURAGE

In celebration of Black History Month, The HISTORY Channel is launching a new extension of its #SaveOurHistory campaign. Here’s how it works: go to Instagram or Twitter and upload a photo or video of someone in your own life who has made history, using the hashtag #SaveOurHistory and tagging @History.

These photos might be of someone who shaped the history of your own family, your community, or even the nation. No story is too small! It could be the first person to go to college in your family, the first to travel the world, serve their community in a new way, or participate in a movement for change. We want to see the “historymakers” in your life!

HISTORY will select and amplify some of these photos on the Save Our History website, honoring those who have shaped our lives and stories. You can also visit history.com/saveourhistory to view the gallery and upload your photo or video directly.

Tomorrow, February 10th, at 8/7c on HISTORY, in Tuskegee Airmen: Legacy of Courage, Robin Roberts explores the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, the legendary group of African American pilots—including her father—that served in WWII, revealing how these warriors for change helped end segregation in the military and pave the way for the civil rights movement.
