REGINA KING SET TO HOST ‘SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’
Regina King is set to hit the Saturday Night Live stage. King will be hosting SNL alongside musical guest Nathaniel Rateliff.
The star is known for various projects, including Watchmen, which won her an Emmy last year, and her directorial feature debut, One Night in Miami on Amazon Prime. The film is already receiving praise and five-star reviews for shining a light on men’s roles in the civil rights movement.
“I want every Black man I know and love to see themselves in this film because I saw them when I read the script. Some could look at [the themes] as subtleties, but they are the big-ticket items I want people to leave with. Nobody is perfect, and we are just trying to do our best. While these men are legendary, they were trying to do their best. It’s as simple as that,” King told InStyle.
King took to social media to celebrate the big news.
