KAMALA HARRIS EXPLAINS WHY CORONOVIRUS FIGHT WILL GET BETTER ATFER TRUMP IS GONE
In less than a week, Donald Trump will be out of office. Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris spoke with Rickey Smiley on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show to talk about the Biden-Harris Administration’s approach to tackling Coronavirus, getting Americans vaccinated, and the importance of the U.S. Senate run-off elections in Georgia.
Two vaccines are being distributed to Americans to help curve the virus spread. Many people are concerned about the vaccine’s effectiveness and critiqued the production rate of the vaccine.
Vaccines typically take years to make, but Pfizer managed to create the vaccine in 11 months. Kamala Harris says she took the vaccines and had absolutely no effects. She pleads for everyone to do the right things, trust the scientists, and save lives. She emphasizes the fact that Black folks in America have been dying at a much higher rate. Starting from behind will be the biggest hurdle coming into the office, she states. “The Trump administration, their plan to distribute the vaccines has fallen behind. They said that by the end of the year, they’d have 20 million vaccines and vaccinations, and they’ve only reached a little over 2 million.” Harris says the plan going into office is to get the vaccines distributed to the communities that need them and making racial disparities a priority. They will spare no effort to provide the vaccines by using the defense production act – the primary source of presidential authorities to expedite and expand the supply of materials and services from the U.S. industrial base during a crisis.
“During this pandemic, millions of Americans, through no fault of their own, have lost the dignity and respect that comes with a job and a paycheck,” Mr. Biden said in a speech to the nation. “There is real pain overwhelming the real economy.”
