President Donald Trump is preparing for his second Impeachment trial in the U.S. Senate, while incoming President-Elect Joe Biden is preparing for his Inauguration celebration on January 20. “Celebrating America” is a television special that will highlight American heroes helping us fight through the pandemic.

“This inauguration presents a unique opportunity to spotlight the resilience and spirit of an America United,” said Delaware State University president and Presidential Inaugural Committee CEO Tony Allen in a statement. “We have witnessed countless heroes this past year step up to the frontlines and serve their fellow Americans, so we are telling their stories, spreading their collective light, and celebrating the best of our country and its people with this prime-time program.”

R&B singer and Biden advocate John Legend will perform for Celebrating America. Kerry Washington, best known for her role in political drama series Scandal, is expected to introduce a segment during the show. Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Eva Longoria, Justin Timberlake, the Foo Fighters, and Demi Lovato are amongst other celebrities that will take the stage.

In addition, Joe Biden is to offer remarks to our current divided nation. Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris will make a speech that is said to center around celebrating “American heroes” such as frontline workers, teachers, and healthcare workers.

“The program will celebrate American heroes who are helping their fellow Americans through this crisis, including frontline workers, health care workers, teachers, citizens giving back, and those who are breaking barriers,” organizers said in a news release.

Tom Hanks will host the TV special, which will air at night after Biden and Harris participate in a military ceremony and a wreath-laying with other former presidents. “Celebrating America” will air live on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and other TV networks. No worries, if you cut the cord or don’t have access to network television, the special will stream live on various digital platforms beginning at 8:30 pm est.
