The One Voice One Vote Weekend took place from Saturday, October 24th through Sunday, October 25th. The Weekend executed three separate voter education and mobilization initiatives to support, motivate and rally the local South-Dade community to vote.

Philanthropic Rapper and Actor Common took the stage on Sunday to close out South-Dade’s One Voice One Vote Weekend for Souls to the Polls. Common encouraged voters and performed at South Dade Regional Library to close out all of the initiatives planned by the collective of South Dade organizers and companies to make it a huge success.

It was all thanks to SBC Community Development Corporation, ASKColestars, Inc., The Culture, Hip Rock Star, The Historic Society, Vote The Future, Pi Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Dwight Bullard – South Dade Chapter of NAACP, The New Florida Majority, The New Florida Vision PAC, Second Baptist Church, The Gospel Truth, Millertime Productions, DTLR, LYFT, The Black Stallion, AJ Touch, Faith in Florida, AFSCME, Alpha Phi Alpha IOTA PI LAMBDA Richmond Heights Chapter, Administrative Support Konsultants, LLC., and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Miami Alumnae Chapter.

The community also came together to decorate vehicles for a COVID-19 Parade Style from Martin Memorial AME (Purple Church) to rally through the community to the South Dade Library to vote.
