LEBRON JAMES BREAKS THE INTERNET WITH DREW LEAGUE APPEARANCE

LeBron James played in Drew League last weekend and had the internet in shambles. For those who do not know, Drew League is a basketball Pro-Am league held in the summer, in Los Angeles, California, since 1973. LeBron James has not played in the League since the NBA lockout in 2011.

On Friday, Chris Haynes broke the news that James will play on Saturday. This news got people crazy to see the basketball superstar playing after a long time.

LeBron James is a four-time NBA Finals MVP winner and three times NBA Champion. He teamed up to play with DeMar DeRozan, the Chicago Bulls star player, who has played in the Drew League since his teenage years. Hence, this game proved to be an iconic moment for the Drew League.

The game was held in the King Drew Magnet High School in Los Angeles. People started crowding the area making long lines in front of the gym. Basketball fans crazily wait for a chance to meet the superstar.

The gym has the capacity to accommodate around 1300 people. According to Drew League Commissioner Dino Smiley, there were 2500 fans watching and enjoying the long-awaited game by James. The fans started gathering around the venue as early as 6:30 am, well before the time of James game scheduled at 1:45 pm.

It all started on Friday night when DeMar DeRozan tweeted a crown emoji followed by ‘x Debo.’ The Drew League Commissioner later confirmed that the two basketball stars are teamed up to play the game on Saturday.  Kyrie Irving was also scheduled to join the game but didn’t show up. So, LeBron James rocked the show playing with DeMar DeRozan.

James led MMV Cheaters to victory over Black Pearl Elite with 42 points, 16 rebounds, and four steals. DeMar also performed well for his standards and supported the game with an impressive 30-point and 14 rebounds. Shortly after taking the court, James received hugs and high fives from the flood of his fans waiting to meet him. After the game ended, Lakers fans swarmed LeBron and asked for autographs and photos.

NBA official account shared a tweet, ‘LeBron SHUT IT DOWN in the @DrewLeague today dropping 42 points and snatching the W!’

Rob Perez, a senior NBA producer at the Action Network, ridiculed James’ opponents on Twitter. He posted, ‘these dudes might be in trouble.’

He also posted a funny picture of Bunny asking for help along with the tweet saying, ‘these normal humans on an island guarding a radioactive LeBron.’
