JOSH JONES LAW, P.A. PRESENTS THE SIXTH ANNUAL HBCU SUMMER PICNIC

The summer fun continues with an HBCU reunion. Josh Jones Law, P.A. presented the 6th HBCU picnic with memorable strolls, music, activities, and more for family and friends.

HBCU traditions have their own vibe, that is sewn into culture and history. Black Greek life is significant because the organizations were created when Black students still couldn’t attend traditional universities.

The Sixth Annual South Florida HBCU Picnic kicked off with some community soul. Hundreds of alumni, students, and family from Historically Black Colleges and Universities from across the country came together to socialize, network, and have fun, including members of the Divine Nine.

So many of our people flooded the surrounding streets, making it hard to find parking. Sprawled across FMU’s lawns were dozens of stalls and kiosks selling food and representing numerous HBCUs. From purses to tacos to shirts, there was something for everyone.

Usually, the biggest HBCU gatherings are during week-long homecoming celebrations that feel more like family reunions, the crowning of campus queens and kings, and halftime shows, HBCUs bring students distinct traditions and experiences that foster a sense of connection and belonging.

It was outstanding that, for the sixth year, Josh Jones Law, P.A. was able to put on an incredible HBCU gathering outside of the typical homecoming season. Any time our people come together to celebrate each other is a time well spent.
