The event will provide opportunity for black professionals from various industries and roles to connect. It’s the perfect time to build your social and professional network. 2. “THE SUMMIT” A WATER-BASED IMMERSIVE EVENT

Miami Museum of Contemporary Art of African Diaspora (Miami MoCAAD) is hosting a Juneteenth celebration featuring a creative conversation and barbecue on Friday, June 17 at the Historic Ward Rooming House.
Visitors will have access to in Overtown-related interactive treasure hunt games; an interactive 3-D model of the artist providing biographical information, and an interactive museum experience map that invites engagement to chart the future Miami MoCAAD.
3. FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY JUNETEENTH FREEDOM DAY CELEBRATION

The theme for FIU’s Juneteenth celebration is “Educate, Celebrate, and Heal.” The event will include food trucks, free shuttle bus rides, and so much more! The event will kick off with the inaugural Nova Star Juneteenth Scholarship Pageant on June 11 at Florida International University.

Step out to a FREE step show and drumline experience featuring some of the best Greek 9 Organizations and Drumline Teams. Juneteenth University will be celebrating at the Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater. The event is hosted by Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell of Two Live Crew and D9 organizations will be competing for trophies and cash prizes.

5. CITY OF MIAMI GARDENS’ “2ND ANNUAL JUNETEENTH PARK & PARTY” CELEBRATION

City of Miami Gardens Vice Mayor Reggie Leon, Councilwoman Katrina Wilson and Councilman Robert Stephens, III present the 2nd Annual Juneteenth Park-In and Party Celebration. This year’s theme is “We Are One” and hosted by Comedian Marvin Dixon with music by DJ Bo Weezy.
This year’s fest will again be free and at Calder Race Track in the great City of Miami Gardens, South Florida’s epicenter of black culture. Gates open at 3:30pm.
A Sweet Butter Experience is also being offered for $50.00 per person which includes dinner, a signature drink, SWAG bag, VIP entrance, and seating.

6. SHOW TIME THE RHYTHM FOUNDATION’S JUNETEENTH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Hued Songs presents The Juneteenth Experience, a multidisciplinary, immersive performance of our American Holiday, Juneteenth – past, present, and future. Celebrating Freedom, Black artists, Black culture, Black community, and Black Miami the community will come together at North Beach Band Shell on June 19.
The performance includes a diverse cast of artists including Kunya Rowley, Michelle Grant Murray, Darius Daughtry, Eric Nelson, Melissa Cobblah Gutierrez, and many more!
