GUN CONTROL ACTIVISTS INTERRUPT FLORIDA GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS EVENT, DEMAND ACTION

Gun control activists interrupted Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during a live event titled “Don’t Burn This Country” at Orlando’s Plaza Live hosted by conservative political commentator Dave Rubin.

While governor DeSantis was speaking at the event, gun control activist Maxwell Alejandro Frost spoke up against the rising gunshot incidents. He stated, “We’re losing 100 people a day due to gun violence.” while the governor continued his talk at the event.

Gun control activist added, “Governor, we need you to take action on gun violence.” Governer angrily replied, “Nobody wants to hear from you!”

DeSantis’ words did not stop Frost from presenting his verdict. The crowd started murmuring, and Frost further asked the governor to help Floridians, “Governor, Floridians are dying. We need help.” He pleaded, “ We need action on Gun violence. Governor please we need your help. We’re dying. Kids are dying,” until police escorted Frost out of the room.

Frost wasn’t the only one interrupting the event. Other people including Jen Cousins and Jack Petocz also voiced their concerns asking, “Why don’t you care about my life?” and  “Why are you making it easier for dangerous people to get guns.”

Petocz has also shared a video clip on Twitter where he was escorted out by security and the Governor did not pay heed to his questions.

The crowd supported Frost by chanting “Loser Loser” to the governor as the government has failed to contain gunshot violence incidences across the country, especially in Florida.

According to Frost, the group of activists was moved to take this action because of Governor’s negligence toward gun voilence. While talking about the Uvalde shooting, he said, people are expecting some effective actions by the Governor to ensure their security.

This protest by gun control activists is seen as a reaction to some recent unfortunate mass shootings that took place frequently, one after the other. Shootings at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, a grocery store in Buffalo, New york, and a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, are the most recent examples of such attacks.
