KAMALA HARRIS WILL RETURN TO WORK AFTER TESTING POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Vice President Kamala Harris is set to work in person after testing positive for COVID-19 a week ago.

The White House press secretary, Kristen Allen, stated that Harris’ results have come out negative as a follow-up test for COVID-19.

“Today, the Vice President tested negative for COVID-19 on a rapid antigen test,” Harris’ Press Secretary Kristen Allen said in a statement. “The Vice President will return to work, in person, tomorrow. Following CDC guidelines, she will wear a well-fitting mask while around others through the 10-day period.”

Earlier on the 26th of April, the news broke of Harris’ COVID-19 positive result. The statement issued by the White House gave affirmations that Harris would follow CDC guidelines and isolate herself for the coming week, although she had no visible symptoms. The statement had negated President Biden and Harris’ physical contact rumors affirming that the Vice President had last met Joe Biden on the 18th of April.

“Today, Vice President Harris tested positive for COVID-19 on rapid and PCR tests,” said Harris’ press secretary Kirsten Allen. “She has exhibited no symptoms, will isolate and continue to work from the Vice President’s residence. She has not been a close contact with the President or First Lady due to their respective recent travel schedules. She will follow CDC guidelines and the advice of her physicians. The Vice President will return to the White House when she tests negative.”

Harris, 57, who had been vaccinated and boosted twice, returned from Los Angeles with her husband, the Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.  The White House had reportedly stated that the process of contact tracing is underway to inform those who had met her. Harris had shared the news of confining herself in quarantine on Twitter.

“Today, I tested positive for COVID-19. I have no symptoms, and I will continue isolating and following CDC guidelines. I’m grateful to be both vaccinated and boosted,” said Harris.

The latest COVID-19 strain, which has penetrated the Washington elite, has called out several reservations about the possibility of Joe Biden’s testing positive. The White House has stated that despite being vaccinated, boosted, and well protected, the President can contract the virus as the latest variant has proved very dangerous. But, they have assured that Biden would be able to work remotely if any such situation arises.
