JANET JACKSON DOCUMENTARY SET TO PREMIERE IN JANUARY

Janet Jackson gave us a peak at her upcoming two-part documentary.

The singer took to Instagram with a teaser video and wrote, “Hey u guys. Excited to share the first teaser of my new documentary with u.”

Jackson serves as an executive producer, along with Randy Jackson. The documentary will take viewers through Jackson’s life and over 40 years of her career, contain never-before-seen footage, and feature home videos from the legendary artist. The premiere coincides with the 40th anniversary of her self-titled debut album which debuted in 1982.

“This is my story told by me, not through someone else’s eyes,” she says in the trailer.

The project also features commentary from Mariah Carey, Missy Elliot, Tito Jackson, and Paula Abdul, and more!

The two-night documentary event will air simultaneously on A&E and Lifetime. It will air two hours for two nights.
