DRAKE’S NEW ALBUM SMASHES STREAMING RECORDS

Drake’s Certified Lover Boy is headed for the biggest debut of 2021 and debatably an album of the year title. The highly anticipated album that Drake originally announced earlier this year smashed streaming records in the first 48 hours.
The Toronto native is projected to have the biggest debut since Taylor Swift’s Folklore. According to HITS Daily, the project is on track to move 600,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, surpassing Kanye’s Donda Album.
Drake’s latest project has already obtained numerous other streaming records:
• Roughly 153 million global Spotify streams in its first day, notching the biggest 24-hour debut in the platform’s history.
• CLB also earned a record 80.4 million first-day U.S. streams, outperforming Scorpion by just 1.2 million, according to HITS Daily Double.
• Chart Data also reports that Certified Lover Boy broke Apple Music’s single-day streaming record for an album.
Naturally, Drake fans took to Twitter to celebrate the record-breaking project, celebrities included. Atlanta Hawks basketball star Trae Young sparked an online debate after suggesting that Drake surpassed one of Hip Hop’s all-time GOATS, Jay-Z.
The tracklist includes 21 songs with features artists such as Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Lil Baby, Young Thug, Lil Durk, Giveon, Future, Ty Dolla Sign, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, and more! The album is available on all streaming platforms, including Apple Music and Spotify.
