ISSA RAE MARRIED FIANCÉ IN A PRIVATE CEREMONY IN FRANCE
Issa Rae has revealed that she married her longtime boyfriend, businessman Louis Diame, in a ceremony located in France over the weekend.
Rae looked stunning in her strapless Vera Wang Haute gown while Diame rocked a red Dolce & Gabanna suit. At the reception, Rae wore a white high-split dress that was also by the bridal designer.
The Insecure creator dated Diame for several years on the down-low. The two got engaged in 2019. However, the two were rarely seen in public together, making people joke on social media that the wedding doubled as an official face reveal.
She took to Instagram to reveal her next chapter in life and wrote,
“A) Impromptu photo shoot in a custom Vera Wang dress
B) My girls came to help me, but they all coincidentally had on the same dress! They were so embarrassed.
C) Then I took a few flicks with Somebody’s Husband.”
In a 2018 interview with Vogue’s Abby Aguirre, she brushed off any questions about her love life. “I don’t want any input,” she said. “As a writer, you put everything on the table.”
So, of course, everything makes sense as to why she kept her love life private. “According to a source, guests traveled near and far to watch the couple say ‘I do.’ In fact, some of those lucky enough to score an invite stayed at the Jean Cap Ferrat hotel nearby,” E! News reported.
