DEAR KOBE…WE MISS YOU!

DEAR KOBE…WE MISS YOU!

Do you remember the moment you heard the news on Kobe Bryant’s tragic death? It is still surreal for most. This talented young man was a husband, father, son, mentor, athlete, and so much more. In fact his accomplishments in his 41 years of life will outweigh the life impact of many.

Bryant’s 42nd birthday was on August 24th and the world gathered online to send messages of memories, testaments, peace and honors. Wife, Vanessa Bryant sent a special message on Instagram, “I wish you and Gigi were here to celebrate YOU! I wish I could make you your fav food or a birthday cake with my Gigi. I miss your big hugs, your kisses, your smile, your loud ass deep laugh.” Basketball great LeBron James posted on Instagram a 2008 tribute to Bryant. LeBron can be seen singing Happy Birthday to Byant for his then 30th birthday.

NBA Hall of Famer Allen Iverson pinned a lengthy tribute to the legend that he posted on his twitter account today, “Letter to homie.” Iverson’s tribute leads the Twenty-Four & More For Kobe player’s tribute in which he expresses wishes for more time.

“Where’d the time go, man? That first trip out to L.A. feels like it was just yesterday. We were just kids, with everything in front of us.‘What you getting up to later?”I’m going to the club.”I’m going back to the gym.’I’ll never forget that. You’re not here on this earth anymore, but you’re not gone, either. You just say the name Kobe Bryant, and the memories come back in a split second,” penned Iverson.

Bryant along with his 13 year-old daughter Gianna and seven others were tragically killed in a helicopter crash outside of Calabasas, California on January 26, 2020. His memory lives on and his legacy will continue to touch lives to come.
